Position Summary
As Manulife continues to evolve in a rapidly changing world the Chief Talent and Culture Officer (CTCO) will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our workforce and workplace. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer and serving as a key member of the HRCLT the CTCO will lead a newly unified function that integrates Talent Acquisition Learning and Development People Strategy and Operations Culture and Inclusion. This role is responsible for building a cohesive and forward-looking talent and culture strategy that supports Manulifes ambition to be a digital customer-centric and inclusive organization. The CTCO will ensure that our people practices are aligned with business priorities foster a high-performance culture and enable our colleagues to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Strategies: Ability to design and execute an integrated end to end talent strategy including insights into the value of skills-based approaches and AI particular understands how digital AI and automation are reshaping talent priorities and can translate this into practical strategies
Strategic Leadership: Define and execute an integrated global talent and culture strategy that aligns with Manulifes business goals and values.
Talent Acquisition: Oversee enterprise-wide recruitment strategies ensuring the attraction and retention of top talent across all levels and geographies.
Learning & Development: Drive a culture of continuous learning and growth enabling career development and future-ready capabilities.
People Strategy & Operations: Lead workforce planning organizational design and HR operational excellence to support scalable growth.
Culture & Inclusion: Champion a culture of inclusion recognition and engagement. Lead enterprise-wide DEI initiatives and ensure alignment with our purpose and values.
Employee Experience: Enhance the end-to-end colleague experience from onboarding to career progression ensuring a consistent and meaningful journey.

Qualifications
Proven experience in senior HR leadership roles with a global scope.
Demonstrated success in leading large-scale transformation across talent culture and inclusion.
Strong strategic thinking business acumen and ability to influence at the executive level.
Deep understanding of modern HR technologies AI analytics and digital enablement.
Passion for people purpose and performance.
Promote innovation and creative thinking to stimulate discussion on disruptive opportunities ways of working and test-and-learn/ fail-fast environments.
Prior experience leading large-scale transformation agendas.
Effectively prioritizes to facilitate speed of execution.
In-depth understanding of the competitive environment and emerging trends innovation and practices in the industry.
Board level written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Strong collaborator capable of building consensus in a matrix organization and effectively advocating with senior leadership to secure resources and support required to achieve objectives.
