The Role
Reporting to the State Program Manager (SPM) with a dotted line to the Senior Manager-MLE the State Program Coordinator MLE will carry out MonitoringEvaluationandDocumentation relatedactivities for the state specific context.
This role will also assistin the implementation of the National Deworming Day (NDD) IFA Supplementation and other programs in the this role you will support the State Program Manager in analysing sharing and disseminating findings and data related to program performance in various platforms.
The SPC-MLE will be required to travel to the state-based programs for a maximum 25% of the time. Travel is primarily during business days while occasional weekend engagements may be expected.
Responsibilities
- Prepare an MLE plan for SPM prepare IFA NDD and other programs work plan and strengthen monitoring and reporting systems.
- Coordinate with the regional/district coordinators (RC/DC) and tele callers for the overall management and smooth execution of data collection and quality maintenance.
- Engage in district and block-level data collection analysis dissemination and overall coordination with government officials from the Department of Health Education and WECD according to the MLE work plan.
- Prepare and submit reports on time with the assistance of other members of the team coordinating with Government officials from the Health WECD Education and other government departments and stakeholders/partner organizations.
- Assist the team with data-related reporting by documenting program activities best practices and providing technical support. Also be in charge of creating reports for discussion and decision-making for program improvement.
- Will be in charge of the states monitoring and documentation (both qualitative and quantitative) of specific interventions implemented as program enhancement measures.
- Assist and support the National MLE team in developing state district and block targets and deliverables based on data.
- Will be in charge of preparing data collection and compilation tools reporting formats/templates and also facilitate the development and implementation of any electronic data collection tools digital platforms reporting applications etc aligned with program requirements.
- Will be responsible for secondary data review review of literature and analysis of large-scale data from sources such as DLHS NFHS Census CNNS HMIS MPR UDISE and compile and analyseotherstate-specific program-related indicators from available sources.
- Ensure that all data collected is subjected to data quality assurance procedures.
- DevelopMLE-related training plansand providetraining for regional/district coordinators and tele-callers.
- Responsible forcreating and maintaining high-quality databases that are relevant to the programs.
- Ensure all data-related requests by the state government officials are fulfilled with the highest quality.
- Assist the SPM in delivering all tasks pertaining to key monitoring indicators.
- Be in charge of embedding MLE into the programand developing a system for tracking programactivities using indicators trackers and dashboards.
RequirementsEssential
- A masters degree or specialization in social sciences public health health administration or a similar field is required
- Minimum of 5-6 years of managing MLE work documentation and report writing experience
- Proficiency in database development/management through SPSS or STATA Excel Power BI and skills in analysing interpreting and communicating information to various stakeholders is required
- Good interpersonal and presentation skills strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi are essential
- Willingness to travel 25% of the time
Desirable
- Having anunderstanding of theGovernment health system understanding ofschool and Anganwadi-based data collectionchildren and adolescent health programs and government initiatives associated withanaemia and deworming
- Professional experience of workingin a research/consulting firm preferably with large-scale surveys MLE projects will be an added advantage
- Detail-oriented and excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver required results in a timely and quality manner
- Applicants with a foundation in Population Studies Statistics or Demography will be given preference
