Whats on offer
As a Safety Advisor you will based out of our office in Laverton providing practical hands-on Health & Safety support across FH business units and projects across Western and Melb Metro regions. You will collaboratively work with our project teams at all levels of the business ensuring best practice standards are being met and exceeded. We will look to you to also:
- Developimplement review and maintain safety related plans and procedures i.e. SWMS ITPS EMPS etc to ensure they remain current and compliant with legislation and best practice;
- Conduct safety assessments and safety audits and inspections identifying opportunities for improvement;
- Drive and champion a culture that is focused on the pillars of safety environment & quality;
- Report incidents non-conformances and near misses and coordinate/participate in investigations as required;
- Assist with return to work processes and build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Use safety systems to meet reporting requirements (monthly reports objectives & targets).
To be successful in this role you will have:
- 3 years experience working in a similar role in the Construction industry;
- Tertiary qualified in WHS with Cert IV completion or similar preferred;
- Developed organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively and execute outcomes independently;
- Knowledge of safety legislation and statutes and ability to interpret any applicable statutes or legislation relevant to the work group or project.
