Job Summary

The University of Chicagos Ben May Department for Cancer Research is searching for a Research Assistant Professor to participate in studies of obesity and cancer immunotherapy. The primary activity of the appointee will be to conduct academic research in association with a faculty member or a team that includes biologists and statisticians.The appointee will complement existing areas of strength and contribute to project conception and execution. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience developing and/or applying methods for animal models of obesity and cancer immune analysis and metabolic phenotyping. Compensation is dependent upon qualifications. This position is benefits eligible - for information on benefits please consult the University of Chicago Benefits Guide: to the start of employment applicants must have: 1) a doctoral degree or equivalent in immunology cancer biology or a related discipline and 2) completed postdoctoral training prior to the start of employment.

Assessment of applications will consider experience in cancer immunology and metabolism working as part of a collaborative team and technical expertise in experimental and statistical methods data analysis and manuscript preparation.
