Job Summary
Turner & Townsend are seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to support their delivery of works in Defence. The role sits within a fast-moving vibrant team that provide support to a range of projects and joint ventures. The individual will be a self-starter who enjoys business partnering with a range of stakeholders brings financial delivery experience and excel capability.
MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
- Financial management on behalf of the consortium into the Defence client
- Setting up and operating financial management processes and procedures aligned to the Authoritys financial and contractual documents.
- Tracking and reporting against the agreed contractual KPIs.
- Providing the Authority with access to open book finance records that are visible and transparent and in accordance with the project contract.
- Undertaking project forecasting budgeting and MI reporting.
- Manage the monthly SOXs audits and ensuring contract is fully compliant
- Dealing first-hand with financial/project queries from the client and suppliers.
- Manage and analyse large volumes of data with acute attention to detail.
- Promote and encourage positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders; including project teams clients and suppliers
- Support the Defence Finance Lead with Ad-hoc tasks.
REPORTING
This role reports to the Defence Finance Lead.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
- Project finances are produced to the highest standards and are completed efficiently and within deadlines
- Cluster forecasts are populated to a high level of accuracy and within deadlines
- Actual/forecast fee variances are kept to a minimum level
- Month end data is analysed in detail and areas of potential risk are highlighted
- Key information and data are accurately maintained.
- Good relationships are developed with the JV partners operational and finance teams.
- Ability to effectively present information to non-finance stakeholders
- Strong work ethic and adaptable.
Qualifications :
- Strong Business Partnering experience
- CIMA/ACCA or QBE within an equivalent senior finance role.
- Advanced in Excel spreadsheet development and modelling skills
- Developed analytical skills with strong attention to detail
- Good organisation skills that promote prioritising and meeting deadlines
- Great problem-solving skills
- Experience in managing and reconciling large amounts of financial and statistical data
- Experience in accounting for professional services at a project level including both customer billing and project budgeting
- Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 experience is a plus
