Main Responsibilities
Contribute to corporate digital and visual communications centre of expertise
- Foster an integrated agile and collaborative working culture within the Communications Directorate promoting positive interactions accountability and knowledge sharing among colleagues.
- Collaboratee across the Communications Directorate to ensure strategic consistency and visual alignment of OECD materials.
- Develop and promote specific web and graphic design tools templates and visual standards to support a coherent OECD identity.
- Contribute to drafting of design standards and guidelines training materials in collaboration with the Communications Impact Standards & Capacity-Building division.
- Provide advice and hands on support to colleagues on visual communication tools and best practices.
Design and deliver high-quality digital and visual products
- Produce compelling user-centred web and graphic content in line with the direction of the Creative Designer Video Web & Graphic.
- Support the day-to-day design processes and planning including managing and prioritizing multiple concurrent projects to produce and timely deliver compelling and engaging web & graphic products.
- Support the creation of visual identities for campaigns or events under the direction of the Creative Designer Video Web & Graphic.
- Develop and maintain consistent OECD brand identity systems including logos color palettes and visual standards.
- Design and build templates for internal communication staff use to improve production efficiency secure consistency and visual harmony.
- Contribute to maintaining and evolving the OECD design system and component libraries ensuring visual consistency and scalability across platforms.
- Collaborate on interactive storytelling formats (data-driven visual narratives) with video social media and data teams.
- Translate complex information into visually engaging and easy-to-understand materials.
- Designs responsive digital assets for websites social media and online campaigns and optimized for performance SEO and accessibility.
- Present design concepts and justify design decisions.
Support continuous improvement and innovation
- Assess the performance of web and graphic products using analytics and user feedback to drive data-informed decisions.
- Propose and test innovative design approaches that enhance reach impact and user experience.
- Develop and maintain strong awareness of emerging design technologies including AI-assisted tools accessibility standards and market trends and identify opportunities to test and integrate new solutions where relevant.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of website and chart design systems based on user insights.
- Adopt and promote a user-centric data-driven and continuous improvement culture that supports innovation across digital communications.

Ideal candidate background
Academic Background
- Advanced university degree in Digital Communication Graphic/Visual Design Computer Science or other related field.
Professional Background
- Proven 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in communications or digital graphic design preferably in an international organisation.
- Experience working in multi-stakeholder environments with the ability to build strong relationships across communications experts.
- Demonstrated capacity to present and communicate information effectively to a broad audience using a range of communication tools.
- Excellent attention to detail maintaining precision in typography alignment and visual consistency across all design deliverables.
- Proven experience in assessing the performance of web and graphic products using analytics.
- Technical skills and tools including:
- Portfolio demonstrating expertise in design of visual identity visual assets web projects (live sites or prototypes).
- Experience using prototyping and/or design tools for UI/UX (e.g. Figma Adobe XD)
- Experience using digital tools to assist with project management workflow optimisation or team collaboration.
- Familiarity with motion and interactive tools (After Effects Premiere Pro) is a plus.
- Experience working with analytical tools (e.g. Google analytics) to inform design.
- Experience using Web Content Management Systems and maintaining design systems.
- Basic knowledge of HTML CSS and Javascript.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe InDesign Adobe Photoshop Illustrator After Effects Adobe Express).
- Understanding of Search Engine Optimisation and accessibility standards.
- Knowledge of print production understanding bleed CMYK vs RGB resolution.
