Full-Stack Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking a full-stack developer to build a next-generation financial data platform with the flagship feature being an AI-powered financial chatbot. Users will ask questions such as What are Amazons cloud revenues for each of the last 5 years and the system will generate accurate insights supported by charts tables and text.

Beyond the chatbot you will build dashboards showcasing real-time market activitycharts tables heatmaps screeners watchlists and more. The role spans the entire stack including backend data pipelines AI/LLM flows frontend UI charting and system optimization.

What Youll Work On

Chatbot & AI System

• Build data pipelines to ingest parse transform and store financial datasets (structured and unstructured).

  • Structured: prices fundamentals earnings analyst ratings

  • Unstructured: SEC filings earnings call transcripts investor presentations

• Implement LLM workflows:

  • Embeddings OpenAI

  • Vector search via pgvector

  • RAG pipelines prompt construction output generation

  • Validation steps to catch inaccuracies (dates values hallucinations).

• Perform prompt engineering to improve accuracy and handle edge cases.

• Build charts for chatbot responses (Highcharts or similar).

Market Dashboards & UI

• Build dashboards showing market activity using charts tables heatmaps screeners and watchlists.

• Implement responsive high-quality UI in React/.

Backend Engineering

• Design and optimize PostgreSQL schemas caching layers and query performance.

• Build real-time data features (WebSockets polling).

• Scale coverage to thousands of U.S. stocks.

Visual presentation is a major differentiator. Data must look clean accurate and beautiful. Charts will be shared on X and other platforms as a core part of product growth.

Collaboration & Process

You will work directly with the founder who owns product direction and brings deep finance and investing experience (10 years). You will lead technical execution across the stack.

Required Experience

• Strong experience with React and TypeScript

• Experience with

• Proficiency with PostgreSQL

• Understanding of REST APIs and modern data-fetching patterns

• Experience with OpenAI API or similar LLM integrations

• Familiarity with vector databases and RAG workflows

• Knowledge of real-time data patterns (WebSockets polling)

• Clean code strong attention to detail

• Good English and communication skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with financial data or fintech applications

• Experience with charting libraries (Highcharts D3 TradingView Lightweight Charts Recharts etc.)
