As an Analyst youll support delivery of metals solutions to our corporate client franchise - helping clients navigate metals markets and manage commodity riskwhile building product expertise commercial judgement and client relationships within a collaborative high-performing team.
Job responsibilities
- Support senior sales in managing and growing corporate client relationships across metals.
- Assist in structuring and delivering metals hedging and financing solutions.
- Analyze market trends price moves and client exposures to generate insights.
- Prepare client materials (presentations proposals trade ideas).
- Partner with trading structuring and risk to execute transactions efficiently.
- Track client activity and maintain accurate interaction/transaction records.
- Help identify new business opportunities within the corporate client base.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Bachelors degree in Finance Economics Engineering or related quantitative field.
- Strong analytical/quantitative skills; ability to interpret market data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong stakeholder management; ability to build relationships.
- Detail-oriented; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Resilient under pressure with the ability to stay calm focused and solutions-oriented in a high-intensity time-sensitive environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated interest in commodities/markets and a collaborative mindset.
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Experience in commodities sales or financial services.
- Familiarity with metals markets hedging instruments and risk management.
- Experience supporting corporate or institutional clients.
- Knowledge of relevant commodities regulation.
- Additional languages relevant to key metals markets.
This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness propriety knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
