Key Impact / Purpose
- Source and purchase materials to keep projects on schedule.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality and reliability.
- Optimize inventory and purchasing processes for cost-effectiveness.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Source and purchase materials for field foremen.
- Review maintain and issue purchase orders to preferred vendors.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Monitor and recommend appropriate inventory levels for materials and consumables.
- Schedule and expedite material deliveries as required.
- Review vendor invoices against orders to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Execute material return procedures and secure credits from suppliers.
- Maintain organized purchase order records.
Must-haves:
- 3 years of purchasing/procurement experience ideally in construction or mechanical contracting.
- Strong relationship-building skills with suppliers and vendors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint).
- Effective communication and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Eligible for reliability security clearance.
Nice-to-haves:
- Knowledge of mechanical systems and construction industry experience.
- Resourceful problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
This is annual compensation;$70000 - $88000
