Summary:
Were looking for a Purchasing Specialist who thrives on building strong supplier partnerships and driving cost quality and delivery this role youll be the link between our vendors and production teamsensuring the right materials are available at the right time to keep our manufacturing operations running smoothly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong supplier relationships investigate new sources and negotiate agreements to im
Order Management: Prepare purchase and inventory orders verify specifications pricing and communicate effectively with vendors. Improve cost quality and delivery. Assist plant-level materials teams with vendor and material challenges and assist with invoicing receiving discrepancies and vendor returns
Forecasting & Analysis: Process monthly supplier forecasts adjust Kanban quantities and conduct regular analysis to anticipate and resolve potential issues.
Warehouse & Packaging: Manage visual systems central storage and support PFEP-driven warehouse customization.
New Product Support: Partner with Product Engineering and suppliers to integrate materials into new product designs and projects.
Audits & Reporting: Conduct Kanban audits process purchasing reports and maintain accurate data in SAP and Access systems.
Mentorship: Train and guide Purchasing Coordinators to ensure best practices.
Continuous Improvement: Drive supply-based initiatives that enhance efficiency and performance across the value stream.
General Support: Perform administrative tasks and contribute to cross-functional initiatives and other duties as needed.
Education and Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma required. Advanced degree preferred
3 years inventory material handling or material presentation experience preferred
Proficiency in MS Office suite required
Previous experience in SAP (ERP) preferred
Critical Competencies
Knowledge of Lean thorough knowledge of Kanban principles product component knowledge and assembly processes
Experienced SAP user
Professional and excellent oral and written communication skill
Strong attention to details
Strong project and time management skills as well as math and analytical skills
Ability to work collaboratively with all functions to build positive relationships throughout the entire organization
Ability to problem solve and the ability to multi-task #LI-CB5
