MAINTENANCE WORKER

This position is for our Tri-Town Home located in Haileybury Ontario.

Available opportunities include: Full-Time; Day

What youll be doing

• Performs preventive maintenance and maintenance tasks including PM checks mechanical operations building inspections minor on demand repairs heavy duty cleaning moving of furniture grounds maintenance/work and janitorial tasks accordance with the written policies and procedures of Extendicare the facility trade/CSA legislation and the Maintenance Department as well as prescribed sanitation and infection control procedures.
• Reports unsafe and hazardous working conditions and any equipment malfunctions to the supervisor

What you bring

• Maintenance experience preferably in an institutional setting.
• Possess technical competencies related to electrical plumbing carpentry HVAC.

• Valid drivers license required.
• Experience with an older adult population an asset
• Strong customer and resident service skills.
• Experience in a high paced customer service setting an asset
• Flexible and willingness to learn new tasks
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to quickly changing priorities
• Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills
• Ability to read write and follow instructions in English (other languages an asset)
