Backend Engineer
Bangalore India

40 lpa

• Python 3.11 expert with strong async/await and asyncio proficiency

• FastAPI (or Starlette/aiohttp) for high-performance async backend development

• Layered architecture experience (Handler Service Gateway or similar patterns)

• Strong understanding of REST API design and scalable service patterns

• Production experience integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI Anthropic Azure OpenAI etc.)

• Experience building stateless horizontally scalable services

• Strong knowledge of Docker containerization and deployment workflows

• Understanding of LLM orchestration (LangGraph or LangChain preferred)

• Experience with multi-provider LLM integration

• Ability to implement streaming endpoints (SSE or WebSockets)

• Familiarity with safety guardrails (PII filtering toxicity detection input validation)

• Strong type-safety mindset: mypy Pydantic (v1 or v2)

• Proficiency in testing: unit integration and E2E using pytest

• Experience building high-concurrency async systems

• Solid understanding of distributed systems (state persistence retries idempotency)

• Familiarity with PostgreSQL / SQLite / Redis

• Experience with OpenAPI/Swagger documentation

• CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions or similar)

• Strong knowledge of structured logging metrics and health checks

• Experience with OpenTelemetry or similar tracing frameworks

• Ability to troubleshoot production issues across async services LLM gateways and APIs

• Security-first engineering: input validation secrets management secure coding

• Knowledge of prompt injection risks & AI-specific security considerations

• Understanding of resilience patterns (rate limiting timeouts circuit breakers)

• Strong code review experience with focus on architecture and quality

• Ability to mentor others on async patterns LLM integrations and testing

• Comfortable documenting APIs system design and troubleshooting steps
