Job Summary
Position summary: A research engineer building an expertise in product and process development of high value-added products in glass via wet coatings
Responsibilities:
- Project management following the stage gate methodology to solve the most pressing customer challenges
- Stakeholder management with business and operations teams for new product and process development
- Map key requirements from the market to feasible technical programs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve technical challenges and develop innovative solutions.
- Document experimental procedures results and interpretations in technical reports.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and foster a culture of safety and collaboration in the laboratory.
Qualifications:
Master’s in chemical engineering polymer engg or materials science with 4 - 7 years of experience
Specific skills / Personal attributes
- Safety mindset with good awareness of chemical and industrial hygiene
- Strong experimental background and analytical skills
- Combination of a structured methodology along with a creative aptitude
- Some familiarity in coatings and surface science preferred
- Good communication skills
- Strong team player with an ability to connect with partners in operations quality R&D and business.
