One of our manufacturing clients in Windsor ON is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor for their plant.
Responsibilities:

Carry out preventative planned and emergency maintenance activities to support a high-speed Just-In-Time (JIT) production environment.

Respond immediately to line calls diagnose issues and perform repairs to maintain uninterrupted production flow.
-
Plan coordinate and execute structured preventative maintenance programs to increase equipment reliability.
-
Lead or assist with the installation commissioning and acquisition of new machinery and plant equipment.
-
Design fabricate and modify fixtures workstations and custom components to support production needs.
-
Implement equipment upgrades aimed at improving safety performance product quality and overall efficiency.
-
Maintain thorough and accurate records of all maintenance work equipment history and downtime events.
-
Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to uphold established procedures standards and best practices.
-
Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical electrical hydraulic pneumatic and PLC-controlled systems.
-
Perform facility-related maintenance tasks as required including basic carpentry plumbing painting and electrical work.
-
Monitor and maintain adequate inventory levels of spare parts and consumables.
-
Provide daily direction and support to Maintenance Technicians ensuring tasks are executed safely and effectively.
-
Participate actively in environmental initiatives and support ongoing compliance with environmental management systems.

Exercise the authority to stop production-after notifying the Supervisor and Plant Manager-when safety or quality issues require immediate corrective action.

Take all reasonable measures to maintain a safe working environment and protect the health and well-being of employees.

Reduce machine downtime through detailed analysis predictive maintenance practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

Ensure adherence to IATF 16949 standards and customer-specific requirements while supporting continual improvement of ISO 14001 ISO 50001 and ISO 45001 programs.
