Cashier

For fun at work just add water! Make a splash this summer working at the Shawnee Municipal pools! Gain valuable customer service and teamwork experience in a fun environment. The Cashier is responsible for maintaining an efficient register operation including courteous and accurate customer service a clean neat counter area consistent inventory levels and accurately cash counts. Current pay for the Cashier position begins at $11.00 per hour. Additional compensation is provided for employees who return after each season.

Position Responsibilities:

• Greet all patrons in a polite and courteous manner
• Take orders and serve customers
• Fill out daily reports
• Operate the cash register and maintain accurate funds. Distribute correct change. Balance the cash drawer daily at the end of shift
• Clean workplace areas
• Inform Manager of items to order
• Follows correct procedures for admittance at front gates.
• Always conduct oneself in a professional manner
• Performs other related duties as requested or assigned by the Pool Manager or Aquatics Director

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 14 years of age or older by May 31 2026
• Cash register experience is preferred
• Must successfully pass a written math test
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification or the ability to obtain certification prior to beginning employment
