We are seeking an Intervention Specialist - moderate to intensive - to design and implement individualized programs for children with autism and other developmental disabilities. You will create and maintain records of progress and collaborate with the help of a Teachers Assistant and Lead Teachers in the classroom the Intervention Specialist would be responsible for all parts of the IEP process including- transition based assessments developing of goals and objectives running IEP meetings etc. Staff would also be responsible for implementing IEP goals into the general curriculum as well as providing accommodations and modifications to students as appropriate. We are looking for individuals who are creative and are open to learning new strategies for reaching our ensure success you need to make informed observations and design effective programs. Preferred applicants are knowledgeable compassionate and have outstanding observation :Current ODE issued Intervention Specialist licenseBachelors degree teaching in special education -versed in state and federal special education :Collaborate with other staff members and parents/guardians in order to create and implement Individualized Educational Programs (IEPs) Service Plans (SPs) and/or other intervention accommodations modifications and interventions to students identified as having a disability and qualifying for special with educational aides related service providers to develop specialized instruction that maximizes students access to the Ohio education content specialized instruction to students with special needs in one-on-one small-group or inclusion settings in accordance with IEPs and/or the achievement of unidentified students by providing interventions as requested by other school staff with parent written IEP and/or ISP progress reports at least as frequently as general education progress reports are written (minimum of once quarterly).Develop and adapt programs curriculum and effective teaching strategies to provide quality comprehensive instruction for studentsEnforce school and class rules to help teach students proper such as tracking attendance and calculating gradesCoordinate and implement student crisis intervention as well as problem resolution strategiesDevelopment and implementation of behavior management plans control techniques and program designReview and provide analysis of student performance data.
