Cactus Wellhead Quality Control Inspector Lead Manufacturing

This is a Cactus Wellhead position and is located in Bossier City LA

Day Shift- 5am-5pm

JOB SUMMARY: This position directs the work of QC Inspectors involving the evaluation of incomingmaterial/products during the production process. Ensures that QC Inspectors receive continued trainingas required. Assist the Quality Manager in ensuring that all Quality Management System procedures arebeing followed in the QC Department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential duties and responsibilities include thefollowing.

• Practice safe work habits and comply with all quality safety health and environmental policiesprocedures programs and regulations.
• Supervises hourly QC Inspectors in the performance of their duties.
• Assigns inspection jobs and sets priority of jobs based on daily production objectives
• Works closely with all production departments on quality issues and assists in troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret machine drawings including complex views and specifications.
• Proficient in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles and application.
• Skilled in creating dimensional inspection plans directly from machine drawings.
• Experienced in measuring taper threads using appropriate gauges and standards.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments (e.g. micrometers calipers thread gaugesCMM mic trac).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify deviations from specifications.
• Competence in documenting inspection results and preparing quality reports.
• Ability to work with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues.
• Hardness test parts
• Reports time against jobs
• Reports NCRs and assist with investigations and dispositions when necessary.
• Reviews Certificates of Conformance Material Test Reports and other documentation to ensureconformance with quality requirements.
• Monitors verifies and sign off on job documentation.
• Performs Final Product Release and application of the API Monogram.
• Provide training coaching and mentoring to QC Inspectors to develop continuous qualityimprovement within the department.
• Perform other regular duties as assigned or requested.

EDUCATION TRAINING EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or general education degree (GED): or a minimumof 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Required as the primary job function: Experience with Geometric Dimension & Toleranceinspection with additional desired skill with CMM Faro Calypso/CAM2 or other CMMexperience.

CERTIFICATIONS LICENSES REGISTRATIONS:

• None Required
• Consider as additional desired skill ASNT Level II MT and PT
• Consider as additional desired skill AWS CWI
• Completion of API Q-1 Training
• Completion of other training as directed by company.

JOB KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES:

• Proficient with precision measuring instruments
• Read and interpret Engineering drawings
• Strong math skill and proficient reading
• Knowledge of CWH Quality Management System

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Daily direct supervision of 4 or more Quality Control Inspectors. Dailymeetings coordination and planning with facility leadership and management to establish productiongoal and objectives with the responsibility for completion of required tasks in order to meetmanufacturing objective. Responsible for the direct supervision and utilization of his team to meet thosemanufacturing objectives.
