Job Title: Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Job Purpose
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is a hands-on technical and managerial role responsible for leading and advancing the organization’s technology landscape. Reporting to the CCO the CTO manages all IT technologies and oversees a team of IT infrastructure professionals. The role includes developing and implementing IT standards policies and procedures as well as the analysis design deployment and operational management of IT software and hardware systems. The CTO is also responsible for ensuring the robustness reliability and security of the organization’s IT infrastructure.

Duties and Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Oversee all operations of the IT department including IT infrastructure communication systems (LAN WAN email etc.) databases backup and recovery and regulatory compliance.
- Manage day-to-day activities of the IT team to ensure optimal performance and service delivery.
- Ensure the availability efficiency and security of IT systems across the organization.
Technology Leadership
- Develop and implement IT infrastructure strategies standards and roadmaps aligned with organizational goals.
- Lead the design deployment and maintenance of software and hardware systems.
- Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies that enhance operational performance and business capability.
Security & Risk Management
- Ensure the implementation of robust cybersecurity measures and risk mitigation frameworks.
- Oversee data protection disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Conduct periodic assessments to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Team Management
- Lead mentor and develop technical staff to build a high-performing IT team.
- Define team structure roles and responsibilities to support operations effectively.
- Foster a culture of innovation accountability and continuous improvement within the IT department.
Project & Vendor Management
- Oversee the planning execution and delivery of IT projects within scope budget and deadlines.
- Manage vendor relationships negotiate contracts and ensure service-level compliance.
- Review and approve technical designs architecture plans and project documentation.
Business Support
- Collaborate with business units to understand technology needs and deliver effective solutions.
- Provide expert technical advice to senior management for decision-making and strategic planning.
- Ensure IT systems support business growth process optimization and operational efficiency
