Job Summary
Position : Senior Technical Lead
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Architecture
Massive Refactoring: Lead the strategic refactoring of both the codebase and the
database layer. Break down monolithic logic normalize database schemas and eliminate
distributed data inconsistencies.
Architecture Sync: Work closely with the Chief Architect to align on the roadmap
designing for future features while solving immediate architectural bottlenecks.
Performance Engineering: Design for high throughput and low memory footprint.
Eliminate sticky sessions and implement proper distributed caching and locking
strategies.
Mentorship & Culture
Raise the Bar: Instill a culture of clean code SOLID principles and rigorous testing.
Conduct deep-dive code reviews not just to find bugs but to teach design patterns.
Production-First Mindset: Lead the transition away from local-only development
workflows. Mentor the team on containerization observability and cloud-best practices.
Hands-on Engineering
Design and implement clean asynchronous REST APIs.
Troubleshoot complex production issues in a distributed environment.
Requirements
Must-Have Experience
8 years of hands-on experience in modern Java development.
Deep Architectural Knowledge: Strong command of SOLID KISS DRY and clean
architecture principles. You know why an anti-pattern is dangerous and how to fix it.
Database Mastery: Extensive experience with both relational and non-relational
databases (MSSQL PostgreSQL or MongoDB). You must be capable of handling complex
schema normalization and query optimization.
Distributed Systems Expertise:
Experience implementing distributed locks (e.g. Redis-based).
Familiarity with Event Sourcing and SAGA patterns for distributed transactions.
Implementing distributed logging (OTLP) and caching strategies.
DevOps/Cloud Fluency:
Practical experience with Kubernetes (K8S): You are comfortable using kubectl and
understand pod lifecycles and resource management.
Experience deploying hosting and troubleshooting platforms on major cloud
providers.
A strong "Container-First" mentality.
Nice to Have
AWS Experience: Strong familiarity with the AWS ecosystem.
Python Proficiency: Experience developing structured backend services (beyond simple
scripting).
Infrastructure as Code: Familiarity with Terraform.
OS Fundamentals: Strong comfort with Linux environments.
