Located in Brisbane this flexible opportunity is ideal for an experienced Senior Bridge Design Drafter / Modelerseeking a casual or contract engagement. Youll play a key role in delivering high-quality structural drafting for complex bridge and transport infrastructure projects. As part of our dedicated bridge modelling and drafting team youll work closely with experienced bridge engineers to produce detailed models and documentation that meet client and project requirements. This is a fantastic chance to contribute your expertise to major infrastructure projects while enjoying the flexibility of casual or contract work arrangements.
Working with an energetic and high performing team this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Collaborate with bridge engineers to produce accurate models and detailed documentation for bridge and transport infrastructure projects.
- Prepare comprehensive structural drawings and models for reinforced and prestressed/precast concrete and steel bridge components ensuring compliance with client specifications and project briefs.
- Coordinate with other transport engineering disciplines to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Apply your expertise in bridge drafting to support the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects across South Queensland.
- Develop your technical skills through hands-on experience with the latest digital engineering tools and processes including Revit and AutoCAD.
- Benefit from close mentoring by experienced bridge design drafters/modelers.
What you will bring to the team:
- Proven experience in the production of bridge design models and documentation for reinforced and prestressed/precast concrete and structural steel.
- Experience drafting bridges for TMR Queensland Rail RMS MRWA VICRoads and/or other state road agencies and local authorities (desirable but not essential).
- Strong understanding of the structural drafting and model production process with the ability to coordinate and collaborate with other disciplines.
- Proficiency in design technology and processes particularly with AutoCAD and Revit (essential).
- Robust written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex issues concisely.
- A passion for detail in engineering design and an interest in adopting new and innovative 3D modelling tools.
- Relevant qualifications such as an Associate Degree (Civil) or similar and experience in bridge modelling/drafting.
