Job Summary
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree (early childhood social work or related field of study preferred)Certificate Parent Educator through Parents as Teachers National Office (training will be provided)Background in Child Development/Early organizational ability to work with adults and their young children. REPORTS TO: Director of Student Support and AcademicsJOB GOAL: To inform instruct and aid parents in the skills necessary for quality parenting and early childhood education ensuring that the children get the best possible start in life. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provide professional parent instruction and delivery of information to district families implementing the curriculum provided by the National Parents As Teachers services with other community programs with similar and enhance the existing Parents As Teachers the district at various community events supporting families and/or young the value of the philosophy and mission of Highland Park the philosophy and mission of Parents As with all district policies rules and regulations Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions:Requires the ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged requires the ability to stoop bend lift and the ability to be able to work in noisy and crowded regular attendance and/or physical presence at the job.
