Job Summary

This is a remote position.

Work Schedule:
  • AM shift is 8:30 am - 5:00 pm AEDST; PM shift is 3:30 pm - 10:00 pm AEDST
  • 40 hours per week
  • Exact schedule would be discussed during the interview - possibly working 1 weekend too.
Responsibilities:
  • Handle guest communications via message phone and email across multiple platforms
  • Provide responsive customer support during service hours (8:30 AM to 10 PM local time 7 days a week)
  • Assist guests with property-related inquiries including Wi-Fi codes appliance instructions and general property information
  • Manage guest communications across short-term rental platforms like Airbnb and
  • Handle both direct bookings and platform reservations
  • Provide coverage during public holidays when local Australian team members are unavailable
  • Resolve guest issues in a fast-paced reactive environment
  • Support corporate reservations and communications
  • Maintain high-quality guest service standards across diverse property portfolio
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in guest communication within the hospitality sector (short-term rental hotels long-term rental or property management) at least 3 years
  • Experience working with short-term rental platforms such as Airbnb or similar
  • Proven ability to work effectively in high-paced reactive and responsive environments
  • Strong communication skills across multiple channels (phone email messaging platforms)
  • Positive and proactive attitude with excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Experience working remotely and collaborating with distributed teams
  • Ability to handle guest inquiries and issues with patience and professionalism
  • Flexibility to work across different time zones and provide coverage during Australian public holidays
Scope:
  • Support guest experience operations for approximately 180 properties across Australia
  • Work as part of a team of 5 virtual assistants supporting 13 local staff members
  • Provide coverage during Australian business hours and public holidays
  • Handle diverse property types across different geographical locations primarily Tasmania
  • Support both individual leisure travelers and corporate clients
  • Work within established processes while contributing to ongoing process improvements
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams and other operational departments as needed
