Construction Scheduler Large Commercial & Industrial Projects
Responsibilities
Develop maintain and monitor detailed project schedules for large commercial and industrial construction projects.
Coordinate with Project Managers Superintendents and engineering teams to define project scope sequencing and critical milestones.
Prepare baseline and updated schedules including resource loading subcontractor timelines and procurement activities.
Identify scheduling conflicts risks and bottlenecks and propose mitigation strategies.
Track project progress against the schedule and provide timely reports forecasts and variance analysis to management.
Support change management by updating schedules to reflect approved changes delays or scope adjustments.
Collaborate with contractors and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project timelines.
Maintain accurate records of schedule-related correspondence meeting minutes and project documentation.
Utilize scheduling software to model complex project sequences and analyze impacts of delays.
Support project closeout by compiling as-built schedules and lessons learned.
Qualifications
37 years of scheduling experience in commercial or industrial construction projects.
Strong knowledge of construction sequencing project controls and critical path methodology (CPM).
Proficiency with scheduling software such as Primavera P6 MS Project or similar tools.
Experience coordinating with multiple trades subcontractors and project teams on large-scale projects.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings specifications and contract documents.
Strong analytical problem-solving and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and reporting abilities to convey schedule status to project teams and stakeholders.
Knowledge of project management principles and construction industry standards.
Diploma or degree in Construction Management Civil Engineering or related field is an asset.
Experience with ICI (Industrial Commercial Institutional) projects preferred.
