Position Summary
The Administrative Assistant for Student Affairs supports the overall operations of the Student Life division. The position provides administrative front-office and logistical support to the Assistant Provost for Student Affairs and the Student Life leadership team. The role assists with office operations student-facing services event coordination communication management and division-wide projects.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain office supplies equipment and shared operational resources
Manage the Husky Storehouse inventory scheduling and distribution
Oversee departmental purchasing receipts requisitions and related documentation
Monitor and manage the Student Life email account
Serve as the first point of contact for students parents and visitors
Provide guidance and direction to students seeking campus resources
Support Student Leadership logistics and communication needs
Assist with Student Life events including planning set-up hosting and follow-up
Support Admissions events such as check-ins tabling and presentations
Provide administrative coordination for major university events such as Presidential Awards and Honors Convocation
Manage scheduling and calendar coordination using Ad Astra and future scheduling systems
Assist with Care Team communication scheduling and meeting support
Support the development revision and distribution of the Student Handbook
Assist with updates to Student Life and related webpages
Maintain records files and operational documentation
Provide administrative communication and logistical support for projects assigned by the Assistant Provost and Student Life leadership
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree required
Strong administrative organizational and communication skills
Experience working in a student-facing or customer-service environment preferred
Ability to manage multiple tasks meet deadlines and adapt to changing needs
Demonstrated commitment to Christian faith and alignment with HCUs mission and Ten Core Convictions
Experience with basic office software and willingness to learn university systems (Ad Astra purchasing systems website tools)

Status: Full-time position
