General Summary:

TheActivity Specialist

  • Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager responsible for planning implementing and evaluating therapeutic and recreational activities that support the patients overall treatment plan. These activities are designed to meet the functional and developmental needs of the patients and are tailored for both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric populations. Activities will be conducted during daytime evening and weekend hours.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of normal/abnormal behavior and psychological principles and the ability to comprehend and transmit detailed/complex instructions and information related to patient treatment normally acquired through one or more years of related college-level course work in Occupational therapy Psychology or related field.
  • Annual CPR certification
  • 6 Months prior experience in a Clinical Psychiatric setting is preferred

Salary Range: Minimum 16.30/hour - Maximum 26.13/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
