About the role

Chubb Life NZ is growing fast and our Product & Pricing function is stepping into an exciting new phase. With big ambitions ahead of us were investing in our actuarial capability and building a team that can help shape the future of life insurance in Aotearoa. This Senior Pricing Lead role sits right at the heart of that growth.

In this role youll take the lead on complex pricing work guiding how we balance fair customer outcomes with competitive positioning and sustainable profit. Youll work closely with product finance and risk teams to bring new ideas to life and make sure our pricing foundations are strong future-fit and globally aligned. Your insights will directly impact Chubb Lifes ability to innovate and grow.

Youll also play a key part in uplifting capability across the team. Whether its mentoring junior actuaries strengthening modelling disciplines or driving automation and efficiency youll help build a modern pricing function that can deliver at pace and with confidence. This is a hands-on role where your thinking and judgement genuinely matter.

In this key role youll

Lead pricing analysis modelling and profitability work to support product development and re-pricing.
Develop and enhance pricing models assumptions and methodologies to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
Provide peer review technical sign-off and strong governance ahead of internal and global approvals.
Communicate actuarial insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders across the business.
Identify and drive improvements in pricing processes automation and analytical capability.

To be successful and grow in this role you will ideally bring the following

Qualified Actuary (FIA FNZSA FSA FIAA or equivalent) with 10 years actuarial experience in life insurance or financial services.
Proven expertise in life insurance pricing and product development.
Strong modelling and analytical skills ideally with tools like Prophet MoSes R Python or Excel.
Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and build strong relationships across teams.
Experience mentoring or guiding junior staff with a strong commitment to quality and delivery.
