POSITION	B Technician
DESCRIPTION	The Service Technician diagnoses repairs and maintains BMW vehicles in accordance with BMW Factory and BMW Center standards. This position promotes BMW standards for superior workmanship. Perform work as described on repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with BMW Factory and BMW Center Standards Diagnose the cause of vehicle malfunction and recommend/perform appropriate repairs. Examine vehicle to identify necessary repair or maintenance items that may not beincluded on the repair order and communicate to Service Advisor. Perform work as described on repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with BMW Factory and BMW Center Standards Diagnose the cause of vehicle malfunction and recommend/perform appropriate repairs.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS	Advanced knowledge in BMW electrical systems (i.e. coding programming bus systems) of both older and newer model vehicles. Working knowledge of BMW DC/TC list and ability to implement it effectively without fault. Knowledge of BMW SIBs and expert knowledge of DealerSpeed online portal Ability to diagnose and repair any type of cooling system issue. Must be able to diagnose and repair most mechanical engine issues. Perform diagnostic review and repair most issue without extended assistance. Ability to perform very basic service on vehicles mount and balance tires; ability to perform wheel alignments on all vehicles All licenses required to perform repairs and New York State inspections must be up-to-date. Understand and follow federal state and local regulations such as those governing thedisposal of hazardous waste. Meet all requirements of state and federal law dealing with automobile repair and consumer protection.
