Bridge Engineer Brisbane
Are you passionate about advancing bridge engineering and eager to join a global network of bridge professionals Our Brisbane team is expanding and were seeking a Bridge Engineer with broad technical expertise in bridge design and a strong track record delivering Queensland projects.
GHDs bridge team spans Australia New Zealand North and South America and Asia dedicated to the investigation design and verification of bridges and civil infrastructure. Due to continued growth and project wins our South Queensland Bridge Team has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Bridge Engineer to join us in Brisbane.
In this role you will:
- Lead and deliver engineering design for bridges collaborating with engineers and drafters
- Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams
- Contribute to proposals and pursue opportunities with clients
- Prepare structural engineering investigations and designs
- Produce technical reports in accordance with client and GHD guidelines
What you will bring to the team:
- Bachelors degree in civil or structural engineering
- 5 years experience in bridge design including reinforced pre-tensioned post-tensioned concrete steel steel composite and timber structures
- Demonstrated technical capability in steel and concrete bridges especially with major road and rail clients in Queensland
- Currently hold or actively working towards RPEQ registration
- Strong report writing and communication skills
- Solid understanding of AS5100 and Queensland state road authority design criteria
- Proven success delivering projects to meet client expectations
- Professional judgement and commercial acumen with the ability to solve problems to brief and budget
- Interest in coaching and mentoring to strengthen team capabilities
