Position Summary
This Parking Lot Attendant position is committed to providing World Class Service for the Mobile Convention Center for all events and is responsible for the protection outdoor protection and safeguarding of Guests and Employees and their vehicles. This position is committed to providing a positive first impression with World Class Service. The position requires physical activity including standing walking and climbing stairs.
This role pays an hourly rate of $13.00-$15.00
Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching
This position will remain open until March 6 2026.
About the Venue
The Arthur R. Outlaw Mobile Convention Center is a spectacular facility providing excellent meeting accommodations. It features 317000 gross sq. ft. including a 100000 sq. ft. exhibit hall and a unique design with terraces for outdoor functions and breathtaking views of the Mobile River.
Responsibilities
- Controlling/monitoring entry to the guests and employees parking lots
- Provide all guests a positive first impression by offering World Class Service
- Monitoring parking lots for safety and security of guests and employees and vehicles
- Provide guests with directions and other venue information
- Direct guests and employees to available parking spaces
- Ability to maximize amount of vehicles per lot
- Respond to all comments/complaints in a prompt courteous and professional manner
- Cash Handling-collect cash and/or coupons and maintain security of cash
- Maintain a neat and clean appearance during all scheduled shifts
Qualifications
- Prior parking experience strongly preferred
- Customer Service and Cash Handling abilities are a must
- Must be polite friendly and possess excellent interpersonal skills as this position has extensive guest and employee contact
- Ability to multi-task
- Must have reliable transportation
- The ability to work various hours as needed including nights and weekends
- The physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and walk long distances
- Ability to work outdoors with extreme heat and weather conditions
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to lift a maximum of 25 pounds with or without
- Ability to visually observe close distance peripheral with or without
