About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Service Manager to lead service operations for our portfolio of medical devices including Ventilators ECG Machines Patient Monitoring Systems Anesthesia Workstations and other critical care equipment.
The role involves team management technical support installation maintenance customer training and ensuring smooth after-sales service.
Key Responsibilities
1. Service Operations & Technical Support
- Manage end-to-end service operations for critical care and diagnostic medical equipment.
- Lead installation commissioning calibration preventive maintenance and breakdown support.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to ventilators ECG patient monitors and related devices.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards hospital protocols and regulatory compliance (ISO NABH etc.).
- Maintain service documentation reports and compliance records.
2. Team Leadership
- Supervise and guide service engineers and field technicians across assigned regions.
- Conduct technical training for service teams and hospital biomedical staff.
- Assign track and close service calls within SLA timelines.
- Ensure high service quality and customer experience.
3. Customer Support & Relationship Management
- Act as the primary escalation point for high-priority customer issues.
- Conduct site audits performance reviews and product demonstrations as needed.
- Build and maintain strong relations with hospital administrators biomedical engineers and key decision-makers.
4. Service Business & Inventory Management
- Manage spare parts planning stock levels and forecasting.
- Prepare service quotations AMCs/CMS and support service revenue targets.
- Monitor service KPIs (response time resolution time repeat calls uptime % etc.).
5. Process Improvement
- Implement service processes and best practices to improve efficiency.
- Monitor equipment performance trends and suggest product improvements.
- Ensure service team compliance with company policies and documentation standards.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong technical knowledge of ICU/critical care equipment (Ventilators ECG Patient Monitors Defibrillators Anesthesia Workstations etc.).
- Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
- Team management experience is mandatory.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle escalation calls.
- Proficiency in MS Office CRM/ERP systems preferred.
