Transmission & Distribution Senior High Voltage Primary Engineer

Here is what you will do:

Project Leadership:

• Lead a team of engineers and technicians in the design and execution of primary circuit projects.
• Coordinate with stakeholders including project managers contractors and regulatory agencies to ensure project success.

Design and Engineering:

• Oversee the development of primary circuit designs including substation layouts overhead lines and underground cables.
• Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to optimize primary circuit designs for efficiency and reliability.

System Analysis and Optimization:

• Perform power system studies such as load flow analysis fault analysis and protection coordination studies identify opportunities for system improvements and efficiency enhancements.

Technical Expertise:

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
• Stay updated with industry trends emerging technologies and best practices in primary circuit design and engineering.

Field Support and Troubleshooting:

• Provide on-site support during construction commissioning and maintenance activities in case is required.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation project reports and status updates.
• Ensure accurate documentation of primary circuit designs modifications and as-built drawings.

Qualifications :

Heres what were looking for:

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Masters degree preferred.
• Experience: 8 years of experience in T&D primary circuit design and project management with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in engineering software tools (e.g. AutoCAD Microstation).
  • Strong understanding of primary circuit design principles including substation design overhead lines and underground cables.
  • Excellent project management skills including planning budgeting and resource management.
  • Experience with high-voltage primary circuit projects.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g. IEC IEEE AS).
  • Effective communication leadership and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have:

• Professional Engineer license.
