Job Summary

A Day in the Life 

Working at H&M means no two days are ever the same but a typical day will include the following responsibilities* 

  • In this role you will be responsible for building and implementing the People Relations strategy for MX-CO-EC and leading a team of People Relations Specialists responsible for executing the strategy 

  • Set implementation plan of newand/orupdated H&M Groupsocial policiesguidelines orframework 

  • Decideonlocalpeoplerelationsplansandpriosalignedwithglobalstrategyand priorities 

  • Decideonlocallegallyneededadaptationsofpoliciesandstandards 

  • Provide strategic and operational advice tolocalmanagement and HR Business Line 

  • Keep up to date on employment law to ensure compliance  

  • Govern and follow up on compliance for entire Sales Market (including multi-brand and logistics) 

  • Ensure local grievance processthat is in line with the Globalgrievance policy and handle grievance investigations 

  • Ensure the respect for freedomof associations for all colleaguesconnected to our business 

  • Create a trustful relationshipwith employee representatives 

  • Secure that Managers are fully aware oftheir responsibilities and have a proactiveinternal dialogue 

  • Drive risk assessments as a tool to identifyhazards in the physical and psychosocialwork environment 

  • Participate in risk assessments toanalyze and understand eventswhich might lead to crisisanduncertainty in the organization e.g. internal controls or geopolitics context 

  • Secure that crisis is handled inaccordance with Our GeneralPeople Principles - In times ofcrisis 

  • Expectation to contribute to People Relations Network 

  • Manage outside counsel for labor relations issues and other relevant vendor relationships 

  • Work collaboratively with H&M Attorneys on People Relations legal matters  

  •  May perform other activities related to the position 

  • Some domestic and international travel required  


Qualifications :

Who You Are:  

  • 10 years HR Compliance and labor relations experience 

  • Juris Doctor preferred 

  • In-depth knowledge of federal state and local employment laws and regulation 

  • Proven track record in developing revising and implementing HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations 

  • Demonstrated commitment to human rights advocacy within the workplace. 

  • Proven experience in designing implementing and managing comprehensive occupational health and safety programs 

  • Communicate fluently in Spanish and English to collaborate across markets and global teams.
