As part of our exciting growth journey in Canberra we are seeking a dynamic Project Director to lead strategic initiatives manage complex projects and drive our vision forward.
- Be the primary interface with Turner & Townsend project management clients.
- Provide leadership to the team leaders within project management and provide leadership and mentoring to the project management team.
- Lead and manage large scale projects as the key client interface
- Developing working relationships problem solving and driving projects to successful completion
- Managing the design process to achieve the clients requirements and manage expectations
- Reviewing project plans and specifications scheduling costs saving measures discrepancies potential construction problems etc.
- Managing project safety and environmental requirements
- Managing project timelines risks and reporting
- Managing project budgets and advising on options to keep budget on track
- Direct line management team responsibility
Qualifications :
- Professionally qualified in one of the following fields: construction project management engineering surveying architecture or information technology.
- Qualifications in Project Management or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- At least 8 to 10 years of experience as an Associate Director or Director.
- A strong background in the delivery of consultancy services
- Experience of leading project management commissions for medium large sized construction projects of medium to high complexity.
- Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters such as different procurement routes value management and value engineering.
- People management experience particularly in the context of managing a project management team delivering a project.
