BNSFs Marketing team serves as a primary contact for all BNSF customers working to make the shipping experience as easy and seamless as possible. From onboarding new customers to handling rate and service requests to answering billing questions the Marketing team is focused on building strong customer relationships and ensuring effective communication throughout the shipping process. The team is organized into several critical business units to cater to diverse customer needs and industry demands: Agriculture and Energy Consumer Products and Industrial products alongside specialized units for Customer Support Forecasting and Planning. Each of these units plays a role in tailoring our marketing strategies and services to meet the unique requirements of our wide-ranging customer base ensuring a comprehensive and responsive approach to customer service and engagement.

This is a full-timepositionlocated in Fort Worth TX. For certain positions including this one employees can work one day per week remotely. Travel is up to 25%

This position will manage tenant and vendor portfolios for telecom and fiber infrastructure on BNSF property. This will be done in a holistic manner that embraces collaboration with stakeholder departments and business partners while anticipating and adapting to changes in the business environment. This position is a highly visible contact internally and externally for telecom and fiber users of BNSF land.

Key responsibilities may include:

Tenant Marketing Services negotiate and manage the longitudinal fiber portfolio including financial analysis agreement renewals lateral tie-ins expansions overbuilds and new infrastructure

Telecom Tower Leases negotiate and manage property lease for privately owned towers on BNSF property

Colocations negotiate and manage agreements for privately owned telecommunications equipment on BNSF property

Fiber Relocation negotiate and manage real estate agreements for fiber relocation and capital projects

Legal support for real estate and telecom and fiber infrastructure on BNSF property

Manage payments and invoicing for telecom and fiber portfolios

Manage outside teams of contractors supporting real estate

Daily work is conducted in an indoor office environment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Able to work now and in the future without BNSFs assistance (whether monetary through sponsorship or otherwise) in obtaining maintaining or extending employment authorization (including H-1B STEM OPT/CPT or TN nonimmigrant status).
  • Bachelors Degree or higher (preference in Business/Finance)
  • 6 years of work experience in sales/marketing rail operations or a related industry
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Solid level real estate technical skills
  • Ability to anticipate issues involved with real estate negotiations ability to adapt or change negotiating strategies as appropriate
  • Strong technical writing organizational and verbal communication skills including ability to effectively present to senior management
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Applications (Word Excel PowerPoint Access etc)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with right-of-way or corridor infrastructure
  • 3 years of Commercial or Industrial Real Estate experience.
  • 3 years supervisory/leadership experience
