About the Project

This is a major subsea tie-back project to an FPSO. The SURF scope includes a new template pipeline umbilical (static and dynamic) and riser.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Subsea Umbilical and Cable Lead to join the SURF team. The position reports to the SURF Project Manager and is responsible for all planning engineering and fabrication work related to subsea umbilicals and cables ensuring compliance with governing documentation best practices and applicable regulations.

You will build and align the Subsea Umbilical and Cable team as needed to execute the scope across all project phases including leveraging PDC products and services. The role involves driving continuous improvement implementing SSI and ensuring compliance with the SURF execution model.

Key Responsibilities

• Full technical and commercial responsibility for planning engineering fabrication and execution of the umbilical and cable scope.
• Prepare documentation according to relevant DG phases (DG0DG4) and ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• Scope and follow up studies in early phases including maturation of design and deliveries.
• Participate in concept workgroups and document recommendations and decisions.
• Drive continuous improvement safety in design design-to-cost and constructability.
• Perform/contribute to concept evaluations and provide input to Design Basis updates.
• Deliver evaluations reports and presentations for key milestones and decision gates.

Qualifications

• BSc/MSc in Engineering (Electrical Mechanical Civil or equivalent).
• Minimum 10 years of technical experience with umbilical system engineering design and fabrication in oil and gas projects.
• Strong knowledge of umbilical technical requirements and standards (DNV API ISO) including dynamic analysis.
• Good understanding of project execution marine operations and umbilical installation.
