Business Analyst position to supplement ITS/HESC state staff and will work on Governor Legislative and Agency priority projects.
Day-to-Day Tasks:
The consultant will be performing business analysis tasks at an expert level including:
- Performing and documenting functional analysis of existing and potential new systems
- Leading Business requirements elicitation efforts documenting and managing results
- Testing new systems or fixes and updates to the existing systems
- Evaluating existing HESC systems and any existing documentation to develop Business and System Use Cases
- Documenting Business and System Use Cases Business Requirements documents Test Plans Test cases
- Mentoring staff on the creation of system artifacts including but not limited to; Business and System Use Cases Business Requirements documents Test Plans Test Cases
Mandatory Qualification:
Business Analyst: Analyzes an organization or business domain (real or hypothetical) and documents its business or processes or systems assessing the business model or its integration with technology with distinct deliverables to a solution.
Expert: 84 Months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
Requested Qualifications:
- 84 months experience performing functional analysis for a new or existing system on a project where Business Analysis methodologies were incorporated and system artifacts were produced (Business/System Use cases Business Requirements documents Test plans Test cases etc.).
- 84 Months experience serving in a functional lead capacity performing tasks such as: Guiding groups to gather and document requirements Monitoring project timelines and deliverables to endure on-time delivery Prioritizing user requirements Writing reports documenting and presenting analyses project status risks and issues for project stakeholders
- 60 Months of experience working as a functional analyst in a Project in the public sector
- 84 Months experience performing testing activities including: Creating test data Writing SQL queries Executing test plans for new systems or changes to existing systems Reviewing test results Logging defects Packaging and presenting test results to project stakeholders Obtaining stakeholder approval
- 18 Months of experience working with projects or programs relating to higher education services
- 72 Months experience using IBM mainframe to review test results including TSO and File Master. Required Experience:
