General Summary
- The Population Health Data Analyst works in conjunction with the Analytics team to analyze claims Electronic Medical Record Health Information Exchange and other data sources to identify opportunities for clinical improvement activities. This individual coordinates with the Senior Population Health Data Analyst and leadership of the Population Health Services Organization to effectively communicate these opportunities to the participating physicians of the University of Maryland Quality Care Network.
Qualifications :
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree required. Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics Computer Science or related field is preferred.
- One (1) years of data analysis or equivalent experience is required.
- Previous healthcare experience is required. Previous experience in population health is strongly preferred.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Strong organizational quantitative and problem solving skills with strategic and creative thinking
- Excellent oral written and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external customers
- Strong aptitude for analytical thinking and demonstrated data skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with large data and self-direct in analysis to reach recommendations and conclusions.
- Experience with qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques in order to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of program management practices.
