Teach explicit ELD to dually identified ELSWD students at varying English Proficiency levels aligned to WIDA Can Dos. Develop and refine in-district ESL content-integrated curriculum maps aligned to MA Frameworks and WIDA 2020 of all students with a second language spoken at home including WIDA ACCESS in-district progress monitoring assessments and involvement in MCAS common progress monitoring assessments and adjust practice to ensure student growth in the four domains of language: listening speaking reading and implement and consistently monitor language goals and objectives for students in accordance with the English learner frameworks and keep parents informed about students language development regularly with EL families via email face-to-face meetings and communication apps (i.e. TalkingPoints etc) and participate in school-based parent engagement with the EL Coordinator/building administration on budget and purchase with the EL Coordinator to implement the English Learner Success Plan (ELSP) goals with students who have not made adequate progress and monitor the students success toward ELSP with the IEP Team and Special Education Team Chair to discuss ELSWD culturally and linguistically relevant IEP development accommodations and modifications aligned to ELs language proficiency level and disability. Suggest the appropriate ACCESS for ELLs accommodations for the ELSWDs a safe and respectful learning environment that fosters social and emotional competencies and empowers multilingual students to become skilled communicators who actively participate as leaders in their school to actively collaborate with other members of the department and team.
