POSITION SUMMARY
The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for building Continuous Improvement into our plant culture by coaching on and implementing CI fundamentals in all areas of plant operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build a culture of Continuous Improvement through meaningful relationships coaching leaders and frontline teams in CI behaviors and tools to improve ownership and performance.
- Lead the development and execution of the sites Continuous Improvement (CI) strategy aligned with business goals for safety quality service and cost.
- Serve as the site champion for Lean Six Sigma and other problem-solving methodologies.
- Partner with Site Leadership to identify operational performance gaps and prioritize and execute improvement initiatives.
- Lead and coordinate CI initiatives site wide. Including LSS Projects Kaizens and other structured problem solving.
- Manage project timelines and proactively identify solutions in a timely manner.
- Own CI Processes Tools and Technology including improvements training and effectiveness.
- Track and report CI performance metrics including engagement OEE and project benefits.
- Present CI progress to site leadership and corporate stakeholders.
- Coach and develop direct report team to ensure site success through CI initiatives.
- This position has food Safety Responsibilities.
- Upholds and demonstrates leadership in all Corporate Responsibility programming including recycling social advocacy and MMAD volunteering opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering Operations Management or related field.
- Five (5) years operations experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Three (3) years experience leading CI Projects in a CPG environment preferred.
- Green Belt preferred.
- To perform this job successfully an individual should have knowledge of internet software and MS Office Suite and full knowledge of Lean Concepts.
