We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Tower Hamlets to assist with the appointment of a Project Manager - Construction Management on a 9-month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 324 Umbrella per Day
Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end delivery of building fabric projects including feasibility surveys design development procurement construction and handover.
- Work with internal services (Education Leisure Corporate Property) to scope and prioritise works.
- Ensure buildings remain open and operational by coordinating works to minimise disruption to staff students and the public.
- Ensure all projects meet statutory and regulatory requirements including Building Regulations Fire Safety CDM Asbestos Management and corporate property standards.
- Monitor contractor performance and resolve issues promptly when works do not meet required standards.
Qualifications:
- HNC/HND or Degree in Building Surveying Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Qualified to P407 Advanced Proficiency qualification in Managing Asbestos
Requirements:
- Professional membership (e.g. MCIOB MRICS MICE) or ability to demonstrate equivalent professional experience.
- Proven experience delivering construction projects within operational environments (public buildings educational facilities leisure centres or commercial assets).
- Strong background in building fabric works such as roofing windows doors structural repairs internal refurbishments and compliance-driven upgrades.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects from inception to completion.
- Extensive experience preparing specifications drawings feasibility studies and tender documentation.
- Contract administration experience using relevant forms of contract (JCT MTC Schedule of Rates).
- Knowledge and experience of CDM Regulations Fire Safety requirements Building Regulations and Asbestos management.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate works in live operational buildings.
