We are seeking a talented individual to join our Casualty Facultative Broking team at Guy Carpenter. This role will be based in the Sydney or Melbourne office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
As the Financial Lines Facultative Broker youll have the exciting opportunity to work closely with high-profile clients and be part of a forward-thinking global leader in reinsurance broking. Youll have a mix of client-facing activities technical risk assessment market engagement and administrative activities to support effective reinsurance broking.
We will count on you to:
- Create and maintain relationships with both clients and reinsurers
- Analyse risk and assist with developing solutions tailored to clients needs
- Respond to client queries and concerns promptly to maintain client satisfaction
- Support the design development and marketing of new brokerage products and programs to win new projects
- Assist senior brokers on complex client assignments and keep updated records of progress and issues
- Monitor accounts including payments and collections anticipating and preventing problems
- Draft policy contracts reflective of bound risk and book accounts within internal systems
What you need to have:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in underwriting or broking
- Knowledge of reinsurance and casualty insurance is desirable
- Exceptional communication influencing and negotiation skills
- Ability to read and interpret Financial Lines policy wordings
- Experience communicating professionally and credibly with clients
