Job Title: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
Location: Ashburn VA
Schedule: Monday Friday 9:30 AM 4:30 PM
Duration: 24 Weeks (Possible Extension)
Job Description
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides direct one-on-one behavioral intervention services under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The RBT supports children and individuals with developmental behavioral or communication needs in home school or clinical settings.
Key Responsibilities
Implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) developed by the supervising BCBA.
Accurately collect record and report data on client behavior progress and session outcomes.
Teach communication social adaptive and daily living skills using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques.
Manage redirect and appropriately respond to challenging behaviors using approved behavior intervention strategies.
Support clients across designated environments such as home school or clinic.
Maintain consistent communication with supervisors caregivers and the interdisciplinary team regarding client performance and updates.
Protect client privacy and follow all ethical professional and confidentiality guidelines.
Participate in ongoing training competency assessments supervision and team meetings as required.
Qualifications
Required
High school diploma or equivalent.
Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
Ability to follow behavior plans take direction and maintain accurate documentation.
Strong communication patience and observational skills.
Ability to work with children and individuals with developmental or behavioral needs.
Preferred
Bachelors degree in Psychology Education Special Education Social Work or a related field.
Prior experience in ABA therapy or working with children with developmental disabilities.
Experience working in home school or clinical environments.
