Your Tasks

We are looking for an Supply Chain Intern to join our Benelux Supply Chain Team starting in January. During your internship you will get a deeper understanding of the entire responsibility of a Supply Chain Department. You will learn how a Supply Chain Department of an international company works and gain practical knowledge that will be extremely useful in your field in the future.


As a Supply Chain Intern you will mainly support the NL Value Added Services team (VAS) and Customer Operations Team. Within VAS you will contribute in ensuring a seamless production flow of the commercial promotional calendar (promo displays promo packs goodies) by assuring efficient material purchasing and accurate VAS masterdata of materials and promotional items while in Customer Operations you will focus on customer collaboration and customer order to do so you will equally work closely together with Demand & Supply Planning Logistics Quality Finance & the Commercial Department. Close collaboration with the BE colleagues to share best practices & align ways of working will also be part of your tasks.

VAS Purchasing

  • Assuring stock management for VAS materials components and displays by creating and managing purchase orders for the NL market.
  • Communicate with suppliers and co-packing partners to confirm order details delivery schedules and resolve discrepancies.
  • Track material supplier performance and escalate delays or quality issues.
  • Support cost analysis for VAS activities and identify opportunities for savings.
  • Assist in preparing tender documentation and evaluations.

VAS Masterdata

  • Create new material codes and maintain existing ones in SAP for VAS-related items (e.g. promotional displays packs bundles).
  • Maintain accurate master data in SAP and promo tool for VAS materials and processes in close alignment with your commercial counterparts.
  • Validate data integrity and support updates to ensure compliance with global standards set by our Masterdata Center of Excellence.

Customer Operations

  • Daily order management -Our orders are received through EDI but it will be your task to manage if they were received correctly and adjust manually if needed.
  • Act as main contact for customers - Ensure clear and standardized communication exchanging information on e.g. changed delivery date out of stocks.
  • Coordinate execution with our warehouse and transport partners - Coordinate with our logistics partners to make sure we do what is needed to satisfy our customer.
  • Daily fire-fighting - unexpected things will happen e.g. delivery delays or incorrect products being delivered. It is your role to act and find the best solution to fix these.
  • Strive for high service level - together with our planning and VAS teams you will work to reduce out-of-stocks by timely orders contributing to a high service level.
  • Manage claims & complaints - investigate and execute the needed steps to solve complaints such as over-deliveries or incorrect pricing .

Your Profile

  • You are finishing your Masters degree in Supply Chain and/or Operations Management
  • You are available for 6 months as of January 2026 5 days/wk (2 days home office)
  • You are fluent in English. Knowledge in Dutch is considered a plus but is not mandatory.
  • You are interested in starting a career in FMCG
  • You have strong Excel skills and are IT literate (SAP familiarity considered a plus)
  • You have strong analytical skills
  • You have a proactive and collaborative personality with strong communication and social skills
  • You enjoy working cross functionally
