Job Summary:

The FP&A Analyst Capex will be responsible for supporting typical finance rhythms and reporting including month-end close quarterly financial planning and annual budgeting as it pertains to capital expenditures. You will become the subject matter expert in Project Administration in Microsoft Dynamics (D365) ERP system working across the organization with Project Managers as well as supporting the extended FP&A team. One of the main responsibilities in 2026 will be transferring the capital expenditure approval process to a new system. It will be critical to jump into this role understand the process and be able to be a key driver to shifting to a new solution. The FP&A Analyst at its core will be responsible for all Capital Expenditures of the CooperSurgical business. You will assist with global consolidation of capital spend and financial analysis working collaboratively with a range of cross-functional partners to enable project expenditure tracking & support strategic decision-making. Youll possess an analytical mind an ability to communicate with business leaders at all levels and a desire to make a meaningful impact on a dynamic high-growth company. This role will also have an opportunity to support operational expense budgets for central Global Operations departments or other similar as needed.



Responsibilities

Essential Functions & Accountabilities:

  • Develop implement and maintain a standard set of monthly/quarterly reports for Senior Management to provide Capital Expenditure insight and visibility to aid decision making.
  • Provide monthly analysis and commentaries on variances to forecast/budget for Key Projects.
  • Enhance the central capital tracking processes working with project managers and FP&A function partners to improve spend tracking and effectively flag project spend and timeline risks.
  • Business partner with non-finance managers to communicate the capital process and the understanding of financial requirements.
  • In collaboration with site finance controllers ensure capital project details are accurately reflected in forecast and budget in order to provide a consolidated view of cash flow timing.
  • Assist in the accurate forecasting of global capital depreciation through collaboration with operations and FP&A business partners as well as accounting.
  • Develop financial systems along with IT support to make the capital process more user-friendly.
  • Drive standardization for the Capital Equipment Authorization process providing process improvements and training where necessary.
  • Implement and perform quarterly Construction in Progress (CIP) reviews.
  • Act within the scope of authority consisting with company objectives guidelines policies and practices.
  • Support the Director of Global Finance Operations with ad hoc projects and analyses.


Qualifications

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • B.S. Degree in Accounting/Finance.
  • Accounting/Financial Reporting and variance analysis experience required.
  • Experience with a Financial Consolidation system a plus (HFM Adaptive or similar).
  • Experience with an ERP System (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Navision SAP JDE or similar).
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Committed self-starter with a proactive approach to change the status quo.
  • Accuracy and detail-oriented to keep reconciled a large volume of data coming from multiple sources.
  • Analytically minded with strong organizational skills.
  • Communication and relationship management skills will be essential.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
  • Microsoft skills required including Excel (pivot tables lookups sumifs graphs/charts etc) and PowerPoint.

Work Environment:

  • This role is based in an office environment.
  • It is required to be on site 5 days a week.

Experience:

  • Seeking 2-5 years experience in a related financial in a manufacturing environment and/or related experience within an accounting function is a plus.

Education:

  • B.S. Degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
