Introduction
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at The Aga Khan University is a dynamic academic center which serves the diagnostic needs of the country through its clinical laboratory services that is spread across Pakistan. AKUHs Clinical Laboratory is College of American Pathologists (CAP) accredited and caters to the needs of the entire country through its tertiary lab at the main campus 300 specimen collection units and 13 stat labs across Pakistan.
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine consists of five major sections namely Chemical Pathology Hematology and Transfusion Medicine Histopathology Microbiology and Molecular Pathology. Each section is academically driven and is highly engaged in research and undergraduate postgraduate teaching and training.

Responsibilities
You will be responsible to:
- perform routine and specialized laboratory procedures as per Laboratory protocols
- interpret laboratory reports and communicate with patients explaining their reports
- communicate with staff on reception and within laboratory about patient procedures
- strictly adhere to safety regulations and quality control procedures.
Requirements
You should have:
- an MBBS degree. Additional diploma in relevant field will be preferred
- one to three years post-MBBS related experience including one year house job
- previous laboratory experience would be preferred
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- an ability to work under pressure
- strong administrative and organizational skills.
