The vision of the Global System Value Optimization (SVO) team is to provide loads value optimization operability tuning and state-of the-art SVO methods to support Onshore wind engineering.
As a SVO TL you will provide technical leadership expertise & mentoring in discipline of NPI loads.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide technical oversight and guidance of NPI loads work. Perform peer reviews for upcoming design reviews and other technical deliverables.
- Assist manager in day-to-day SVO work prioritization and resource management.
- Actively mentor the team.
- Ensure alignment of scope and strategy with CTH and System SILs.
- Assist team in decision making when technical risk is high or there is significant impact on scope and schedule. Assist team with problem solving.
- Provide hands on support and leadership of one or more key projects where technical innovation/breakthrough is needed.
- Support team in creating high quality technical frameworks to ensure the right strategies are established up front and maintained from project start to end.
- Develop and lead specific lean and continuous improvement initiatives. Develop and train team in standard work.
Qualification/Requirements
- B.S. 5 yrs experience in Mechanical Wind Systems or Aerospace Engineering from accredited university (or equivalent)
- Demonstrated technical leadership and deep domain expertise in loads
Desired Characteristics
- Experience leading and coaching small working teams
- Demonstrated problem solving skills for complex problems
- Ability to develop and guide technical strategies
- Strong influencing and interpersonal skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop engineers
- Master of Mechanical Wind Systems or Aerospace Engineering
