About the Role:
Conduct psychological assessments to support patient diagnosis care and management including evaluating suitability for GambleAware services delivered via telehealth or in person.
Provide comprehensive individualised and measurable treatment plans and interventions that are time-limited and based on empirically validated treatments and review their effectiveness using outcomes and consumer feedback.
Facilitate safe and comprehensive communication of client and operational information to GambleAware partner organisations maintaining high-standard medical record documentation compliant with medico-legal requirements.
Actively participate in research quality improvement service evaluation and reporting including contributing to the development and implementation of projects concerning gambling disorder.
Receive and provide clinical supervision appropriate to level of training including supervision of postgraduate provisional psychologists by Board Approved Supervisors.
Actively promote GambleAware South Eastern Region services through community engagement activities while working the required hours (Thursdays 10:0018:30 Saturdays 08:3017:00 plus one additional negotiated weekday).
About You:
AHPRA registration and endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist or progressing to same through an approved registrar program along with Board Approved Supervisor status to provide supervision to provisional psychologists on placement or willingness to undertake Board-approved supervisor training
Demonstrated experience in providing evidence-based psychological assessments
Demonstrated expertise in providing evidence-based psychological therapies including cognitive behaviour therapy and mindfulness-based approaches for gambling or problematic behaviour.
Experienced in the delivery of group treatment models
Experienced in the review evaluation and tailoring of practice as a means to continuing to improve clinical interventions.
