Job Title: Legal Administrative Assistant Collections
Location: Vancouver BC
Compensation: $55000 $75000 (commensurate with experience)
Position Overview
Our client is an established boutiquelaw firm.They are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant to support the collections department. This role involves managing legal documentation coordinating with service providers and ensuring efficient file administration in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
File Management
- Open and close files
- Organize and maintain documents and bring-forward (BF) system
Legal Documentation & Court Processes
- Prepare demand letters Notices of Civil Claim and other legal documents
- File documents with Court Services
- Register documents with the Land Title Office (LTO)
Searches & Registrations
- Conduct LTSA BC Registries and Credit Bureau searches
Communication & Coordination
- Liaise with process servers agents and other service providers
- Monitor service of documents and/or alternative service
- Handle all correspondence
Collections Support
- Prepare payout letters settlement letters and payment arrangement letters as directed by collectors
General Administration
- Perform administrative tasks as required
Qualifications
- Intermediate collections experience
- Paralegal or Legal Assistant diploma from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Self-motivated and proactive in file management
- Ability to manage a high volume of work and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in Office 365; experience with NetDocuments is an asset
Compensation
- Range: $55000 $75000
- Based on experience and qualifications
