Role: Business and Data Analyst

Location: New York

Mode: 3 days hybrid day 1 onsite

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into detailed technical specifications
• Conduct analysis of business requirements and processes for data centric projects
• Responsible for gathering and writing data requirements.
• Translate business requirements into data mapping specifications
• Develop a thorough understanding of the data definitions domain values data relationships business rules sources and data integration used in the business domain
• Troubleshoot data issues and work with data providers for resolution
• Work with Data Engineers who will implement technical solutions to meet business requirements
• Support developers with data subject expertise
• Support phases of project development from analysis and design to testing and implementation
• Ensure that technology solutions meet the defined requirements.
• Understanding of data quality and data governance
• Provide ongoing support and training to business users on the new or revised systems.

Required Skills:

• Experience: 7
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and data modeling
• Strong SQL query skills
• Experience with SDLC
• Strong analytical profiling and troubleshooting skills
• Strong knowledge with Big Data/Hadoop platform
• Strong business analysis and requirements definition skills
• Strong stakeholder presentation skills
• Solid organization and planning skills
• At least 7 years financial industry technology experience and knowledge of financial services data
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Self-driven and proactive.
• Fungible across different tasks functional data mapping data analysis data profiling interfacing with the stakeholders and other technology teams.
• Strong communication independent thinking.
• Understanding of Transaction/payment Data is a plus.
• MS ID readiness is a plus.

Desired Skills (Not required):

1. Experience with data visualization software (e.g. Tableau Power BI)
2. Experience with Agile project delivery
3. Experience with programming languages (e.g. Python)
