Title: Laboratory Technician
Client: Food Manufacturing Company
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Plymouth MN 55447
Shift: 1st Shift - Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (Flexibility Required)
Role Summary
Responsible for advanced laboratory testing equipment calibration data interpretation and supporting food safety quality and operational teams. Works with minimal supervision and handles more complex testing troubleshooting and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine and advanced analytical testing on in-process and final products
Monitor and verify instrumentation performance; perform preventive maintenance and calibrations
Document test results in databases and communicate findings clearly (written & verbal)
Follow safe laboratory practices; maintain proper functioning of lab stations
Support experiments and trials under direction of senior team members
Examine and evaluate data to identify issues and select corrective actions
Assist in interpreting highly complex or atypical results in collaboration with senior personnel
Maintain lab supplies (inventory ordering receiving)
Handle complex administrative clerical or technical tasks with minimal supervision
Escalate only the most complex issues to senior staff
Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
4 years of related laboratory work experience
Strong knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and ISO 17025 standards
Preferred Qualifications
3 years of experience in a laboratory or food manufacturing environment
